There are only a few things that can unnerve you more than watching a thin, long body suddenly slither beneath your feet, if you own a garden and you like to spend hours bending over in the heat of the day. He?s been watching you while you pull rocks and weeds from the soil as you tend to your garden. When this happens frequently enough, you are likely to become nervous when reaching into a huge pile of vegetables, and eventually you will end up avoiding your garden entirely. This sort of abandonment is quite painful for someone who enjoys the fruits of their labor. There is a chance you can catch the snake.

Verify what kind of snake you're dealing with before you try to catch it. It must be handled with a special, if not professional, touch to keep a poisonous snake from dying. As long as the snake is not poisonous, you can begin.

The first step is to re-enter your garden. There is a snake under here, so you will have to go in to catch it. You can distract the snake by using a long branch, yard stick, or fire poker. Make sure the tool you're holding is near the snake's head so that it can remain focused on you. Your other hand will be used to pick up the snake's tail. The bulk of the snake's body should remain on the ground. The tail of a snake is not the best place to pick it up! Use your stick to quickly lift the snake's head. Using one hand to hold the snake's tail and the other hand to grasp the stick holding up the front of the snake, you should be able to reach the end. With this position, you can control the reptile's body and prevent yourself from being injured. Place the snake at a safe location for relocation. If there is no shelter nearby, you can put the animal in a pillowcase and transfer it by vehicle to a safe place. Release the snake by gently pointing its head in the desired travel direction. Alternatively, if it is in a pillow case, gently wiggle the body out so that it is partially covered. Throw away the pillowcase and back away from it. Once the snake has departed, you may retrieve your linen.

You can try shooing the snake into a large garbage bin if the above method is too direct. The snake can be guided indoors with a sweeping motion of the broom. Make sure you don't hit or push the snake. This will injure it. A rubbish bin with smooth sides prevents snakes from climbing out and allows safe relocation.

Use a shirt and a pillowcase to get rid of a snake inside your house. Your shirt or light blanket will be able to cover the snake, so fold it over and put it in the pillowcase. Place the pillowcase inside a garbage can or large storage bin so the snake can escape if you wish. Using an airtight lid, cover the container.  brisbane north snake catcher Now that you can transport your snake, you are safe. Are bare hands safe to handle snakes?
